Centres of care

Six areas of focused orthopaedic practice

Each area combines consultation, imaging and rehabilitation under one roof, so diagnosis and treatment don't get split across three different buildings.

Joint replacement

Planned surgery for hips and knees worn down by arthritis, with structured pre-operative assessment and post-operative rehabilitation.

  • Total knee replacement
  • Total hip replacement
  • Pre-op planning & bone density review

Trauma & fracture care

Assessment, reduction, immobilisation and follow-up for broken bones, with X-ray available at the clinic rather than referred elsewhere.

What to expect

Your visit, from booking to recovery

Orthopaedic care is a sequence, not a single appointment. Here is how a typical case moves through the clinic.

Book

Reserve a slot online, by phone or on WhatsApp. Pick the clinic that suits your timing.

Consult

A clinical examination with Dr. Sripal, and a discussion of when the pain started and what makes it worse.

Investigate

X-ray and bone density testing on site, so imaging happens the same visit wherever possible.

Treat

Medication, injection, bracing or surgery — with the reasoning and alternatives explained first.

Rehabilitate

Supervised physiotherapy and exercise therapy until you are back to normal activity.

Conditions we treat

Organised by where it hurts

Most patients arrive knowing the location of the pain, not its name. These are the presentations we see most often at each joint.

  • Rotator cuff tear
  • Frozen shoulder

Common questions

Before you visit

If your question isn't here, call the clinic or send a WhatsApp message — someone will answer during consulting hours.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are seen, but consulting hours are limited at both clinics and waiting can be long. Booking a slot means you are seen at a predictable time.
Is the X-ray done at the clinic?
Yes. X-ray is available on site, so in most cases imaging and the consultation happen in the same visit rather than across two trips.
Which clinic should I choose?
Both are run by the same consultant. Vepery consults late morning to early evening; Sowcarpet is a night clinic from 7:00 PM. Choose whichever fits your day — the treatment is identical.
Can physiotherapy be booked without seeing the doctor?
Physiotherapy runs on its own extended hours at both clinics. If you are continuing a programme already prescribed, book a physiotherapy slot directly. For a new problem, a consultation first is better — the programme depends on the diagnosis.
Do you treat sports injuries in non-professional athletes?
Yes — most sports injury patients here are recreational players, gym users and runners. The approach is the same: get back to the activity, not just out of pain.
What are the timings on Sunday?
Both clinics are closed on Sundays and public holidays. For an injury that cannot wait, go to a hospital emergency department.
Patient feedback

Been treated here?

Reviews from real patients are how other people in Chennai decide where to take a painful knee. If the clinic helped, a few lines on Google go a long way.
